Lord Leon grew up!

Today there was a party at Chateau Cavalier in Brindleton, celebrating Duke Aquess and Duchess Claudine’s youngest son’s Young Adult birthday. Lord Leon Demitris de Cavalier asked for a toned down party, he isn’t really much into the nobility swing of things. In fact he has been quite the mind challenge to his parents as he insisted on becoming an Actor, rather than building a future around his noble title. He is still number 2 in line to the Cavalier dukedom, though.

So, the party was formal but limited to closest family. Both Leon’s siblings, Baron Charlopold and Lady Merielle had a few weeks off from their University studies as they are between terms. 

Leon was joined at the table by his father’s cousin, Lady Elvira Leonora de Sür-Blyth (left) and his aunt Duchess Gloria F. Saxor of Meadows (right).

There were rumors that the Duke would make Leon a member of the Brindleton District Order, but it turned out that no such knighting had found place. However, Lord Leon might become a board member of the Brindleton Trust, but this will probably not be arranged quite yet.

Duke Aquess and Duchess Claudine sat at their normal seats end of table, probably reflecting a bit over the fact that their youngest child will move out, and their time will soon be over. It’s still 2 years until Baron Charlopold will be crowned the next Duke de Cavalier, though.

Lord Leon will now move to Britechester to start his Drama degree. Congratulations, the Actor career awaits you!

Author Duke Aquess de Cavalier

That’s right - the Duke de Cavalier (78) is an Author! Aquess had a Military career as expected from his peerage, but he is way too old for such a job, and some years ago he started writing. He published several historical books, but at one point he started writing children’s books, and is actually doing pretty well. He spends hours in his office writing.

It’s not confirmed whether he does this to help raising funds, or mostly for his own entertainment. There are rumors that the costs running the Chateau Cavalier are pretty high, and with no active career in the house, there was problems paying bills. These days their oldest son, Baron Charlopold is studying at University of Britechester, and in a couple years he will both take over the dukedom and start a Military career.

Duchess Claudine de Cavalier was recently observed at Sable Square on her own. She stopped to talk with fans but refused to tell them where she was heading. They saw her walk off, then stop behind some shrubs and bend over! Was she sick? No, few seconds later she walked on...

One hour later she was observed at the graveyard at Whiskerman’s Wharf - on her knees! Oh... isn’t that a spade in her hand? Did she join some Eco friendly gardening guerrilla group?

Then a journalist wanted a word with her, and she sighed. She liked chatting with locals, that’s probably the main reason why she is such a popular character in Brindleton Bay. But some days it’s nice being allowed just doing what you intend to do.

She told the journalist about Brindleton’s signature flower, the Crocus, in need of some revitalizing. So, she brought some from her castle garden to plant om community grounds. Some here, some there, next year bypassing people will find joy in seeing Crocus in unexpected spots.

So, is this typical for the Duchess and Brindleton Bay?

Absolutely not! Each district in Region 12 has their own signature flower. It’s a very long tradition that would deserve its own blog article. And now the high nobility all over the region agreed to contribute. In Oasis Springs Duke Jarret Ross of Rossie is busy planting Chrysanthemum. Dahlia is the formal Verdian flower, but locals seem to appreciate the Chrysanthemum the more. The Duke resides in Rossie, but is also the Baron of Verde (Verde is the old name for Oasis Springs), so it’s his duty to keep traditions alive. And did fans find him? Did journalists notice him? Sure they did.

2 Dukes introduce Noble Students Trust

Yesterday Duke Jarret Ross of Rossie and Duke Aquess de Cavalier invited press and educational instances to a brief meeting at Meadows Gardens in San Myshuno. They proudly informed that the Noble Lodging Trust will both support an improvement of Mossy Lane Dorm (Gibbs Hill in Britechester/Rossie), adding a Lady’s Suite and Lord’s Suite, as well as a general upgrade of the place. In return, the Noble Lodging Trust will get 28% ownership.

In the future the trust will GIFT students earning a graduation with honors with 1% ownership. And - in the future, ownership rank will give a new student priority to the suites.

Council has already agreed to the changes, and press in general applauded the new trust, but there were also some critical questions.

[Chateau Cavalier] Duke Aquess de Cavalier had his latest official photo taken. The Duke has turned 77 and is a retired Military Officer, sovereign of the Brindleton District Order, member of the Rossie District Order, and knight of the High Order of Warriors. On the photo he wears the High Order of Warriors sash, and his Baltazar medal.

Despite their high age, the Duke and his Duchess Claudine are still heads of the dukedom, and are not expected to step back until their oldest son, Baron Charlopold, completes his University degree in a couple years.

Baron Charlopold, future Duke de Cavalier, observed taking a swim in Gibbs Hill! The popular man is on his 2nd year studying History, which is tradition for the peerage he will soon become head of. A Military career awaits!

Baron Charlopold was joined by 3 young women, including the redhair Morgan Fyres, who is completing her degree this year. Rumors say the two are dating, but we’ll probably not know for sure until Morgan returns to Windenburg and eventually visits campus. She is born without a title, but her father, Dominic Fyres is the Lord of Dresden, Haunt and Deadgrass. The Baron is reportedly single, despite his parents threw him a mingle party at Chateau Cavalier in the hopes of finding him a girlfriend.

He seems to be the center of most campus events, though. He currently stays at Mossy Lane Dorm in Gibbs Hill, and rumors reveal that his sister, Lady Merielle, who moved into the dorm this Fall, has convinced their father, the Duke, to raise the standard quite a bit.

The other two women hanging around Charlopold were Luna Villareal and Angela Pleasant, none of them noble.

De Cavaliers at Britechester

House de Cavalier lives interesting days, as all 3 children of Duke Aquess and Duchess Claudine are now entering young adulthood. Oldest son, Charlopold, Baron de Cavalier (32) started his History degree last year. It’s expected from a future Duke de Cavalier to achieve top grades before building his Military career.

Charlopold’s younger sister, Lady Merielle (30), completed Windenburg Business High School last year, and just moved to Britechester to start her Psychology studies. It was not required from her, but perhaps a natural development after doing well at the business school.

Youngest son, Leon, Lord de Cavalier (28) will hopefully attend University as well, next Fall, but he is still determined becoming an Actor, quite in conflict with the norms, and because he is 2nd in line for the peerage there might be some serious discussion with his father, the Duke.

Both Baron Charlopold and Lady Merielle (pictured) are staying at the rather newly opened Mossy Lane Dorm at Gibbs Hill. Friends of the Lady has already revealed that she is not very pleased with conditions, but tries to focus on classes.

Mossy Lane Dorm is owned by Ground Up, Inc. and Region 12, and up to four local students can stay there and run the three stories big townhouse, in addition to a couple foreign renters. The other two current locals are Edward Be. von Kaching from Gloomville and Alice Northdale from Newcrest. The Mossy Lane waiting list is quite long as they normally accept just one new student per year. The news about nobility staying there will probably not slow down the applications!
