What if the YES-related threat as Tanit actually perceived it was direcly related to the fallacy of thinking them self-aware and “real”? Feels wrong to me, but then it would, so to speak. But whatever the thing with the Yeses is, it must be important if De Nijs thinks they are “one of the largest cans of worms of all the many cans that make up the sim”, right at the beginning of Corpora Delicti. One of those bits I had forgotten completely and will happily rediscover now while rereading.
