Dead Professional - Downtown at Sundown

Harouff's vocals sound vintage on 'Downtown At Sundown' and 'Don't Be Cruel', giving his music a very classic rock vibe with an updated modern twist, or as he puts it:

this one-man-band strips classic rock and roll and addictive 80s pop down to their barest elements, highlighting old-school song-craft in a modern package.

It is a refreshing take on a genera that needs some updated artists pushing the boundaries. So Dead Professional, we are backing you and can't wait to hear more.

SHOW PREVIEW: Sons of Bill

Who doesn't like a good story of brotherhood? Three members of Sons of Bill are, quite literally, sons of Bill -- more specifically, Bill Wilson. Add a childhood friend into the mix and an old bandmate of two of the Wilson brothers, and you've got the whole unit. 

Together, this band has created an incredibly unique sound more than worth a listen. Their sui generis spin on the Americana scene adds a thoroughly contemporary flair to the characteristically mellow music that defines the genre. They snagged a battle of the bands competition very early on and completed their first record after only a few months as a band, with only a handful of performances under their belt, and quickly gained more local interest. Their live show is an experience like no other; the performance runs like a well-oiled machine, as all members seem comfortable and confident in their positions, both musically and on the stage. Their most recent album, Love & Logic, received recognition and praise from Rolling Stone, and earned them an even bigger spotlight. 

A powerful stage presence plus a marvelously uncommon sound should make for an amazing show, so be sure to stop by this Friday, May 22, and give them a listen!
