FINE, I will finally be bingeing the remaining episodes of S2 of The Pitt. Because I do not know that I can handle Neil Diamond Jazz Singer right after Danny Thomas Jazz Singer.

I have such a desire to watch the Werner Herzog documentary on the cave paintings. And of course this one thing is impossible for me to do in a straightforward manner. Like I do not want to initiate a whole Process right now that is not lying in bed with the clicker and the PS5 controller.
do you think the catholic church effectively utilized wokeness by funneling money into the colonization and rape of the americas after issuing the doctrine of discovery which effectively legalized the subjugation of indigenous peoples?
I had to pause it again because I need to hit the hay in order to be pseudo-functional at the office in the morning. But I realize, with dread, that the next stop after this one is the Neil Diamond movie.
In this one the Jack Robin character (here Jerry Golding) also returns home halfway through for PASSOVER services?? This is crazy. P.S. I have never in my life heard "Adon Olam" sung to this tune and I don't like it.
I went in ready to be a hater, but the musical numbers are almost a psychedelic experience.

LMAO you know what. Fine! Try to win me over!
Exhaust fumes, breakfast cart coffee, and an unearned sense of superiority.
I almost stroked out at the below scene in the 1927 Jazz Singer and I am putting it under a cut because, duh, Al Jolson in blackface. But my jaw was on the floor. Subtlety! Who needs it!!!
Next on my list of The Day of Atonement/The Jazz Singer adaptations to watch is the 1952 version... ugh. Not that the Al Jolson Jazz Singer was an especially comfortable experience, but there is at least the intrigue of historical significance; reminding myself "this was intended and received very differently back in 1927!!!" whenever I want to throw the laptop across the room. More than anything, I fear this one is going to be a crushing bore. But I am curious to see what changes they made.

I took a day of PTO to do some household tasks that I had been putting off and I actually did them. Golf clap for me, please!

Thank you for the heads up!
I identify strongly with Eady as a fellow Arty Nerd Girl with the hots for Bob De Niro, however she is of Appalachian and almost certainly Presbyterian origins so until now I couldn't quite figure out where her head was at during this exchange. What is she talking about? “Why I probably...” ...Probably what? Why is she bashful all of a sudden?
And then it hit me: She's talking about sex! Four years at a university in New York City isn't going to undo a lifetime of inherited gender norms about what is or is not “ladylike,” and even if it doesn't bother her at all, she's well aware of what men might perceive as unbecoming courtship conduct (even when they are the ones soliciting that conduct). She's insecure about having taken a guy home and put out on the first date! And she's nervous about whether it diminishes her at all in the eyes of this man who is a good 20 years her senior. (Of course, he assures her that it does not.)
VERDICT: Nongshim budae jjigae is delicious but the kick is lacking compared to standard issue Red/Black, so I had to raid the arsenal of hot sauces. Still, definitely going to purchase again.
