for the ship asks: joplittle!

what made you ship it? at first i didn’t really get it, even if i’d read and enjoyed some fics. i think i became really interested in their dynamic when i started doing research into historical little. there’s not much out there about him, and so using what little i had i constructed a hypothetical backstory in my head. it made me think a lot about edward’s relationship with the rest of the crew, and i was kind of fascinated by how he and jopson are both, in different ways, crozier’s right hand, and how their personalities and drives seem to fit really interestingly with each other

favorite thing about your ship? i’d honestly have to say that i think my favorite thing is all the room to play with the dynamic. edward leaving the sick behind, his joy when jopson is promoted, the little look that thomas gives edward. i feel like there's a lot of room to imagine their potential interactions especially with how they might have worked together to try and hide when crozier was sobering up.

unpopular opinion? i think that ppl who dunk on it because they "were just standing next to each other" in a serious way have no love in their hearts (i say lightheartedly) but in all seriousness i think there is a lot that makes joplittle compelling in like. their respective personalities and interactions with the world and idk i feel like if you discount that!! open your hearts and let in a fun sweet ship with so much to explore
