Still, that doesn't stop your heart from nearly pounding out of its chest when Bruno questions you on your claim that you had plans, yet you're sitting at a cafe table alone. You weave the most intricate story you could under Bruno's skeptic eye. The nervous lump in your throat is choking your conscience. You think he's never going to leave (or worse, lick you).
You watch your capo until he's naught but a dot in the distance. Your exasperated sigh is Risotto's cue to reappear.
