sam/al and "this isnt exactly what i had in mind"
“This isn’t exactly what I had in mind,” Sam says.
“Well,” Al says. “You wanted a new look. I gave you a new look.”
“Yeah. Alright.” Sam gestures to himself. “But jean cut offs Al? Really? I’m a grown man and can wear normal shorts like a normal person.”
A breeze flutters the threads of his cut offs, ending tingles down Sam’s legs. Uncomfortable, he tugs on the pockets and tries to make them reach down lower. There’s a bit more thigh showing than he’d like. Although the way Al is eyeing him up says a lot about why the shorts are so short. Which reminds him!
“And this shirt,” he says. “It’s too gaudy.”
Black with a big, detailed drawing of a tiger, the shirt looks more like a big chest tattoo than a piece of clothing. Not only are the colors of the tiger bright but there are jewels imbedded into the eyes. Every time Sam moves the jewels catch the sunlight and glitter a warning to everyone that this tiger was dangerous.
“What?” Al waves his hand flippantly. “Everyone is wearing these kind of shirts.”
“You don’t,” Al says. “You’re just pretending so that you won’t get embarrassed about how much you love this outfit.”
“God.” Sam runs a hand through his hair and groans. “You’re so lucky I love you.”
“I am indeed,” Al says. “And keep that in mind because I’ve got the best shoes just for you.”
Sam nearly dies as Al pulls out a pair of neon green, bedazzled sandals. He should’ve known better.
