Did you know that the practice of praying to dead saints is in the Bible? In 1 Samuel 28:6-7 "He inquired of the LORD, but the LORD did not answer him by dreams or Urim or prophets. Saul then said to his attendants, "Find me a woman who is a medium, so I may go and inquire of her." "There is one in Endor," they said." So King Saul went to that medium and asked her to bring up the dead prophet Samuel what he got instead was a demon impersonating Samuel with a message of despair. The dead are not with us, they are not listening to us nor interceding for us, do you know who is? Jesus (Romans 8:34) when Stephen the first martyr died did anyone of the apostles encouraged the church to pray to him and ask him to pray for them? This is why we Protestant make a big deal of sola scriptura, because the reformed fathers have seen church leadership manipulate their followers and this is still happening today, it's the Bible that keeps us grounded in God's truth. New doctrines and traditions will come and that's fine, provided that it's in harmony with the holy Scriptures, praying to the dead isn't in harmony with the holy scriptures. #prayingtogod #prayingtodeadsaints #deadsaints #1samuel288 https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv778M2FCtF/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1av1ctdg14akv
