You're right "my song" is incredible!!
It is! I’m so happy I found it! I think I discovered it through a recommendation from Rogan Shannon, one of my recent YouTube discoveries and obsessions.
I looked it up, and I was right. Rogan Shannon recommended the film in his excellent video about the difference between “deaf” and “Deaf” ... along with his strong opinions about using exclusionary terms that make people feel like they don’t belong to a community. This can of course be more broadly applied to communities like the LGBT community, where some folks—like my own little ace self—might not feel entirely welcome. I loved this video and highly recommend it.
Note: Make sure to put on the subtitles for Rogan Shannon’s videos, as they are done entirely in sign language. Unless you’re lucky enough to know ASL, in which case, you don’t need the subtitles!
