Summary: Fleeing in the aftermath of his brother's death, Castiel goes to Kansas, hoping to spend the summer with his Stanford roommate, Sam. In Lawrence, he meets Sam's brother Dean, a nurse practitioner student who works at the clinic where Sam persuades Castiel to volunteer. Things start out rocky (how could they not?) but Dean Winchester in a white coat is irresistible. As the summer heats up, so does their relationship.
