Because I keep getting Gilmore Girls on my Pinterest and it's repeatedly giving real life war-like flashbacks, Imma just say something that's on my mind every time people compare Rory's relationships with Dean and Jess

Why every time people FINALLY acknowledge the fact that Jess and Rory didn't have the best relationship (and that's putting it lightly), they say stuff like "It happened at the wrong time" or "The timing was wrong" when that can literally apply to Dean and Rory? I've never seen anyone say that Dean and Rory's relationship happened at the wrong time when I feel like that would be the most true given how Dean felt about Rory. Given the fact that Dean and Rory were younger compared to when Rory got with Jess, it's wild to me that I've never seen anyone say that Dean and Rory's relationship happened too soon. And I get that later on Dean and Rory started dating again, but that obviously happened at the wrong time too since Rory seemed so busy all the time. Not saying that Jess sucks and we should hate him (even though I do NOT like him), but why does Jess get so much more leeway?
