Eloy de la Iglesia (Cannibal Man) wrote and directed the effective Spanish giallo The Glass Ceiling, starring Carmen Sevilla as Martha, a loyal housewife whose husband goes away on business way too often, leaving her isolated and alone with her imagination.

Her boredom leads her to eavesdrop on her neighbours and speculate on what their lives are like - and on what it means when she hears a loud thump in the middle of the night followed by scurrying footsteps.

When she notices the extended absence of the man upstairs, she comes to the conclusion that his wife Julie (stunning Euro-starlet and Barbara Steele-look-alike Patty Shepard) and an alleged lover murdered him.

She becomes obsessed with the idea, and her days are filled with trying to solve the 'mystery' of Victor's disappearance.
