Angelo Badalamenti (and others) - Twin Peaks: The Return Soundtrack One of my favourite pieces of art this year in any medium is the return of Twin Peaks. Not only is it one of the greatest seasons of television I’ve ever seen, but it has some of the best musical direction of any TV Show or movie. The first two seasons and Fire Walk With Me have such classic soundtracks and this managed to not only live up, but in a way, top the others. The use of Penderecki’s Therondy for the Victims of Hiroshima was one of the most amazing television moments of all time. The only thing I wish was on this was Take Five by Dave Brubeck (as used in the Dougie breakfast scene) and the bizarro version of Swan Lake that played when Sonny Jim was playing on his playset.
