I especially liked the use of alternating very serious matters and jokes; it's a great way of talking about important stuff while maintaining the humour of the comedy show
she was also able to talk about philosophy which I do not only think is genius, but I also say hats to you for pulling that out (is this the right expression? it sounds weird) without it being too much.
she talked about sexuality, gender, stereotypes and more
UK
using the same technique he was able to talk about homophobia, bullying and cancer while still being light
I actually quite enjoyed this, I remember laughing but I don't remember to what so I can't tell you much. maybe tomorrow I'll remember something and I write it down
this was definitely my favourite. he talked about politics and the dangers of capitalism, you know, those light hearted things to say to a bunch of strangers but that I absolutely abore.
he was brutally honest and this made it 100 times bette. the bit about the monopoly blew my fucking mind

these shows are great as they make you laugh out loud but also reflect.
it's like Pirandello once said, || l'umorismo parte con il riso che attraverso la riflessione diventa riso amaro e pietà || the intention is there, the execution could work a little work
i don't know what the purpose of this last sentence is but I'm sticking with my decisions
DeAnne Smith: If you can take the age that you are now, double it, die, and it's not a tragedy, you're middle aged.
DeAnne Smith: “Who’s daddy? Am I daddy? I don’t wanna be daddy!”
Oh, DeAnne! When we were visiting our parents in Laos last week, I got to catch up on Aussie telly a bit, as they get ABC (and also French-Canadian TV)! And there was a rerun of the Melbourne Comedy Festival, and this particular routine by my fav DeAnne Smith! I love her, she’s hilarious, and if you have Netflix, watch her -and other great comics- in the Comedians of the World special, too!
