left to our own devices | deano & finlay
Finlay hadn't really been sure what he was going to do with his evening before Deano had texted him. Sure, the whole pizza and music thing was a good choice after a long day of wandering around the city, but it was just a safe decision and something that he tended to do more often than not. Finlay needed a chance to get out and spend some time with people, or see his friends, but he hadn't really felt the motivation to as of late. It was really starting to turn into days of partying and getting high and Finlay didn't want to turn into the person that he was starting to become. That was why he was so glad for Deano. He really liked the boy and enjoyed whenever he would get texts from him because he was one of the few friends that he had that was his friend without any expectation of going out to get wasted or high off of something or another. Plus, he was fun to talk to and they did some pretty stupid and ridiculously fun things. Finlay tugged on a shoe, hopping over the pizza box that he would deal with later before he realised that he had no idea where the matching shoe was. After a minute of hunting for it, he gave up and kicked the shoe off, making a mental note to go buy more sneakers before he tugged on a sweatshirt and made his way out of the dorm barefoot. If he had to leave the building, Finlay probably would've bothered trying to find his shoes, but he really didn't care when he just had to make his way down a floor or two. Everything was carpeted anyway, so it wasn't like he'd ever be uncomfortable walking around the place like this. Finlay made his way to Deano's dorm room and he ran a hand through his hair as he knocked on the door, wondering what he'd end up doing with the boy tonight, but before he let himself overthink it, Finlay decided that it would end up being a good night and left it at that. After all, he couldn't think of one bad time he'd spent with Deano and that, to Finlay, was a great thing.
