agree. i also could go either way on zombies, but i lean more toward no because zombies generally have lost what makes them human even if they technically are...

yep same. like if you’re going to have your protagonists admonish someone hesitant to kill zombies because they recognize them with some line like “they’re not human, not anymore!” then you’re implicitly designating them as no-longer-human, so it’s not cannibalism UNLESS they also eat each other. and that’s such a common zombie media trope that it feels like a prerequisite of the genre SO even the creators of the genre admit they’re no longer human, Q E D

[there’s also a whole other thing to consider wrt like... generally it tends to be something Invasive that makes the humans into the zombies, like a virus or a fungus or whatever, and since the desire for human flesh is technically the Invasive Thing’s influence, not a conscious choice by the human being used as the vehicle for consumption, it’s not in the same category imo]

yeah i see A LOT of the otherwise-neutral posts they’ve made float across my dash and it’s like. that’s the worst part of how far the aphobic rhetoric’s spread on this site? it’s literally NOWHERE IN REAL LIFE because it’s the stupidest most undefendable position to have in Actual Real Life Queer Spaces, but on here you’ve got popular bloggers who are like “oh i really love this fandom! also ace people aren’t welcome in queer spaces :)” and i’m perpetually sitting here like WELL FUCK YOU TOO THEN

I've been a SW fan for a long time but never actively engaged in the online fandom before the recent Disney purchase/ SW renaissance and am learning that some parts of the sw fandom are... interesting. Also, I promise to be extra careful with my tags for u!!!

yeah it’s... from an outside perspective it seems like there is a loooooooooooooooooooooooooot of polarization but Who Is Surprised, considering tumblr’s whole. everything. but thank you! ♥♥♥ all my longtime mutuals have been great about it, so these posts are always just for new frands who haven’t had to hear the spiel before :P
