His heart didn’t have time to skip a beat when he answered. “Dean,” Cas said. “What’s up?” Dean said, worry replacing the warmth in his chest. “Would it be awkward between us if I asked you to come to my house right now?” Cas rushed. “What –“ “Would it?” Cas sounded breathless. Dean halted and switched his phone to his other ear. “You gotta give me some details, man,” Dean said, even though he already turned around and walked back to his baby. “What happened?” “My brother found out,” he said after a pause, his voice lower, as if he was hiding somewhere. “Michael.”
