Top 5 Cartoons. 5 honestly isn’t enough really, so quick honorable mentions to: Gravity Falls, Ducktales (2017), Tangled, Batman TAS, Batman Beyond, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Young Justice and Avatar the Last Airbender. Damn thats a lot.
5. Static Shock Honestly one of THE single most underrated cartoons out there and I am WAITING for the reboot.
4. Legend of Korra okay some people might hang me for putting LOK here when ATLA didn’t make the cut, but I didn’t get into the series until WAY after everyone else watched, so i was a bit older for it to shape me. LOK meanwhile got me active here on Tumblr and got me writing fanfic again which was really great.
3. Voltron Legendary Defender. If you’ve been on blog at all in the past year you know I love this show, and more than that just...the potential, the imagination it inspires. also its brightly colored and in space, so. Win.
2. Justice League/Justice League Unlimited I’m counting these together because they’re basically just the same but later seasons have more people.one of the defining points in my youth was watching this, and THIS is the Justice League I want. Well, mostly. It’s the Superman and Batman I want, and thats like, half the franchise, sooo......
1. Teen Titans: another defining point of my childhood, I watched these over and over and still will watch them to this day and I just. I love them. So much. Until your cartoon has the range to go from the dark episodes of the Trigon arc to the tofu episode are you even really trying.
Voltron characters! First off it’s important to note that I love ALL the characters this is just my best approximation of a list. I’m trying.
5. Coran: I want more from and with Coran. Even if we don’t get a tragic backstory I want....I want appreciation for my space uncle, and I am SO MADE AT THE VOLTRON SHOW don’t get me STARTED
4. Lotor: I’m??? fascinated???? with his character?????? what he is, what he could be, and the many many fan interpretations of him. I’m convinced he’ll end up on the villain side but.....be an interesting villain? and for some reason I’m way more interested in all the ‘good lotor’ headcanons than for most villains. It’s not that I think he’s sympathetic, he’s just....I like him. I find him interesting. I’m curious to see what they’ll do with him.
Allura: Allura is basically my aesthetic, I’m not going to lie. Space Princess???? she is everything I want to be.
Hunk: I think I relate to Hunk a lot, except for the talent for engineering and cooking. I have anxiety is what I’m saying. But I’m also kind, and I love kind characters who aren’t afraid to be kind and I love him.
Lance: Does this surprise anyone? I find him very easy to project on (sorry Lance) and I know everyone projects on him but I don’t....really care???? I love him and will protect him.
