Thank you for making all the wrong choices that were never yours to make, because don't we all do that?! Thank you for being so loyal to your parents. It cost you so much, and honey, you /did not/ deserve to go through that; you /deserved better/ and /kinder/, but don't we all just so desperately want to be loyal to ours in the hopes that even /our families/ would survive wars?! Thank you, for proving that people can change for better despite all odds, and for marrying someone as kind as you deserved as a boy and raising a boy even kinder. Thank you for making me fall in love with you-or "the bad boy," as they say-when I was 16, because if I hadn't, I don't think I would've understood you and all that you represent in an entire lifetime. Thank you for teaching us that scars don't define us. Thank you for surviving a war, because if you can do that with all the guilt that was no doubt overwhelming each and every molecule of your being, so can we all. Dear Draco, I do a poor job of expressing myself. But my love for you is eternal, and may you only receive happiness in the many more years to come. Happy 37th, Draco 💕
