Wanted to share one of my favorite performances from DEAR. When the song first came out, given that I didn’t understand the lyrics I thought maybe it was a love song. After I spent some time interpreting the lyrics, comparing my interpretations with others, and I discovered it was a love song but not the kind I thought it was! THIS performance paired with the animations on the screen caused me to go even deeper still and rather than it being them singing about a girl EACH of them has in their lives, it took on the new dynamic of being about the SAME girl for each of them. My heart.
