THE FENG SHUI DUDE WATCHES HERMITCRAFT/MUMBO??
Rearranged my bedroom and by G?D is it so much better. I’d been itching to move everything around for a while but wasn’t sure how, so my roommate sent me a few feng shui videos (Dear Modern on YouTube) and it’s so much nicer in here. I fucking love my room now. I didn’t know shit abt feng shui except for the wildly watered down purposefully misconstrued used-for-comedy way that pop culture portrays it in America. But I think his videos do an incredible job imparting the basics! Certain things feel intuitive after he explains them (u don’t want ur bed directly facing any doors or windows, the concept of the command position) but I never had a framework or any language to talk abt or consider the ways in which a room setup would affect my feelings. And it’s incredible! It’s awesome! It’s fucking great! I have an awareness now and a way to actually verbalize what’s wrong when the vibes are off in a space I’m in. Anyway. Highly recommend watching Dear Modern if u never have before. He gives super clear advice and truly I watched like maybe a dozen of his shorts in one sitting just bc I was enjoying them and immediately after I fixed everything wrong with my room.

Okay so I recently realized that I don’t want my loft bed and I haven’t used my giant bean bag in a while. I took my bed down because I was having a bad anxiety episode, and now it’s just in a really awkward place until I can reorganize my room.
That being said, I have made a plan for reorganizing. I was wondering if any of my followers or perhaps anyone that sees this have any suggestions.
A lot of this is based on my knowledge of watching Dear Modern videos for quite a while.
The current setup:
(It starts and ends around the door)
Where I’m standing, in the middle of the room is where I practice violin.
My plan:
I would be fine with getting rid of the low table as well.

I’ve been watching a lot of Dear Modern videos on feng shui because so much of it is actually common sense interior design.
One issue in my house is that my desk faces away from the door (bad plan, you can be attacked from behind).
The solution? Puppy who already always guards my back when I’m working from home.
