For the prompt thing, can you please do #31 with Lance and Lotor? Only if you want to though. ·~·
31. “Where is your God now?”
This was probably meant to be like,,, enemies but I love Lancelot more than I care to admit.
It was a game they played when Lotor first joined the coalition. Everyone was paranoid about him turning his back on Voltron, but Lance was desperately lonely, what with Keith gone, and the others flocking to each other, it left Lance alone. That’s how Lotor found him one night, sitting in the projection room with right around where Earth was located.
They talked a lot that night, and ever since, Lance found himself drawn to his company at night. That’s when they came up with the little game - it was harmless, given that no one would outright attack Lotor once they saw what was going on.
They staged it first in front of Shiro, to see his reaction. Lotor and Lance were chatting away by a large set of windows where Shiro would normally walk by on his rounds at night. When they heard the telltale footsteps of Shiro approaching, Lotor pinned Lance against the wall with a growl. “Where is your God now, Lance?”
Lance gasped in mock fear, and then he heard the footsteps quicken as Shiro approached. He went to reply with their script, but upon seeing Shiro’s face, Lance just started laughing.
Lotor immediately softened and laughed with him, setting him down gently. “I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
Lance shook his head and looked to the Black Paladin with a kind smile. “Sorry, Shiro, it was just too easy.”
