Dear Tyler,
I am so incredibly sorry about your mom. I just watched through your first video and subscribed so I can watch this amazing journey that you will go on with her. I cried for both of you watching through the video, because it is beautiful, yet tragic. I could not imagine what I would do if my mom found out she had something like this, and your mom is so incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful son like you to be there with her and love her. She is so strong. Even though she's going through this, she's still smiling, even though it probably hurts.
People are asking why bad things happen to good people, and that's a question people always ask when things like this happen. And nobody knows the real answer. I personally believe it's because it makes people even stronger in the end. Life is full of experiences, and some of them are really tough. You need to experience the good, the bad, the ugly, to define who you are and to become stronger. Discover a new perspective. It's definitely not fair, no, but unfortunately it's how it happens.
There are a lot of people who love and care about you Tyler, and your mom. You have a whole community of people who will be following your journey and supporting her until the end. And we'll still be here with you after that. I really hope you and your mom will have an amazing adventure together and I can't wait to see the rest of your journey with her.
Best of luck.
I still cry because of you. I didn’t realize I still had tears in me that would fall when I talked about you. Because when I do it’s like a hole opens up inside my chest. The tears are for different reasons - because of what happened, because of the things I never said, because I love you, because you’re my best friend, because I’m so disappointed that you’re not here. Things have been so good lately, they’re looking better than they have been since everything happened... but then I think of you and I’m so sad you’re not here.
I miss you so much, Tyler.
But sometimes I wish I could turn the tears off.
Dear Tyler
I knew you would drift away I didn’t know it would happen this soon With your boyish wonder And red head stubbornness I don’t know quite how to let go
To say you remind me of me Would only be redundant But I am desperately brokenhearted At the thought of the two of us Going our separate ways
You were the one who taught me That unconditional love existed Not in others, but within myself And in loving you I have found That any cost to me is worth paying
I knew you would drift away I am still not prepared for this I hate myself after we’ve had a fight And still cry watching you sleep I don’t know quite how to let you go
Dear Tyler,
IT HAS BEEN AGES.
First of all, I want to say that you just reblogged a post from my friend Liya (topnotchtroyler) and you should follow her on both tumblr and twitter because she’s literally like your number one fan and it’s adorable.
Secondly, how are you? Seems as though you’re busy again, and I can’t wait to see what’s coming in the future. You’re meeting some of my friends on the book tour, and I’m considering trying to make it down to the Grove for the LA one on the day after my birthday, but unfortunately I’m an hour or so away and I have three classes and an essay on that day, so chances aren’t looking great. I’m so, so proud of you regardless, and hope you’re doing well.
Thirdly, I just want to say that you are absolutely beautiful, inside and out, and I would give anything for you to be able to see that the way that I and so many others do.
Hoping to write more in the future, although I’ve been busy. Take care, Ty.
With love,
A friend. xxx
Dear Tyler,
You rock every hair color But I really want rainbow or pastel rainbow. Love Rocky
Dear Tyler, Hey! I hope you're enjoying your tour so far. You'll be meeting a few of my friends along the way, so give them a big hug for me okay? Because I can't, but you can, and they deserve a hug. How are you doing? It's been a struggle for me to keep up with everything, since my own life has been so crowded, but I saw that you're releasing a book. I'm so proud of you, congratulations. This is huge, and I couldn't be happier for you. Anyways, I can't really stay long right now, but I just wanted to check in and congratulate you on all the good news. Also, please give Korey a hug for me. Thanks. With love, A friend. xxx
Dear Tyler,
I've been crying all night and my suicidal urges are slowly unearthing themselves again, so in a last-ditch effort to make myself feel slightly better, I went to your channel to watch the video I accidentally skipped, called Gay-Dar.
And it worked for awhile. Just hearing you talk and seeing your smile makes me smile, too. And then.... "Adie asks if you have any advice for people whose lives are not so great right now."
And I'm crying again. I've tried to be a good person, you don't even understand how hard, and it's never enough. I'm never enough for anyone, myself, my friends, my parents. I'm just waiting to die, Tyler, that's literally all my life has come down to, and it's scary. It's fucking terrifying. Death sounds like a congratulations now, a reward for suffering just long enough.
I'm sorry. This letter is a mess. I just... thank you. Thank you for all the times you've made me feel better. I'm sorry that those times appear to be coming to an end, but I want you to know that you've helped me a lot. I love you.
With love,
A friend. x
