So Uva and Kazari are characters that I want to have more of an human relationship-esque emotion. Mezool and Gamel are parent-child sure and Ankh has a boyfriend but like... I want Kazari and Uva to interact with the world beyond fucking things up for power and profit.
And when I thought about this the first and most prominent focus of attention between them is both a rivalry for control of the greeed in Ankh's absence. That and also the only person they seem to have a relationship with is Maki. Kazari is the first to interact with him and they're kinda lab partners for a bit before Maki essentially dumps him and Uva seems to have done sort of admiration of him? Uva says "thank you" literally only once in the entire show and who does he say it to? Maki.
Do I think it's romantic? Maybe? Do I think it's sexual? Absolutely not. I DO NOT VIBE with Maki being an entity that fucks. But I want the greeed to be slightly more human than they are. Because they're entities that are meant to show basic human wants. Parenthood and food are covered by Mezool and Gamel but the other 3 seem to kinda just want power? At a first glance at least. And their characters are just a tad lacking for that. I like watching the greeed struggle to attain something incredibly human that they straight-up don't have the capacity to feel.
So Gamel gets a provider, Mezool gets to provide, and Ankh gets a boyfriend. Uva and Kazari just kinda sit there and be boring. Except for when Maki is around. Kazari and Maki interact with the relationship of "using each other to furthertheir respective goals" while Uva has this unrequited sense of security towards Maki. And I think both of those dynamics would be more interesting if Kazari and Uva come to blows with each other because they both want Maki for themselves.
TLDR: I think that Uva, Maki, and Kazari should be in a shitty love triangle.
