Dear Isaac. When you are 13, your life will change. You will get cancer, and being as young and innocent as you are, you will never really know what is going on. The next year will be hell for you, you will have tubes and needles in every vein, your golden curls will be replaced by a sickly bald head, your rosy cheeks will grey and turn lifeless, but the one thing that will never change is that you will smile every day, regardless of the pain and sickness and fear, even at the very fringes of death itself, you will smile. You will learn many things, many of them spiritual. You will learn the importance of living, you will learn that your parents care about you more deeply than anything else in this world, and that family is the greatest gift. But if there was one thing that you learnt that you wished the whole world could know.Never be afraid to live your life, because there is no guarantee you will live to 80.
