@dearestmina / @ofatlcntica asked: ♛ — Does your muse believe in luck? What about fate?
"Luck, she is but a fickle mistress, one in which I believe in whole heartedly, even though she often sways away from offering her favour to myself. I often find her making bed with my enemies rather than settling in my own, or that of my friends, but such is her nature I suppose. As for the matter of fate, I believe in none other than that of our own which we make. No predestined ideal led my person to come to work aboard the ship of Charles Vane and thus start a radical pursuit of a life of piracy; but singularly my own determination to make something of the shambles left after the debt collectors were done ravaging the carcass of my father’s life’s work and chasing any squandered threads of hope from my chest. There was no fate that led Woodes Rogers to Nassau’s shores, only England’s greed and desire to civilise what it can’t control. The only instance in which I could possibly even begin to conceive a moment of fate occurring was the day my path crossed with that of Anne Bonny, though I would argue - quite vehemently I might add - that it was one of the rare days instead that Lady Luck saw myself worthy of her favour...”
@dearestmina asked: ♝ — Is your muse concerned about being remembered after they die? If so, do they have anything specific notions about what they want to be remembered for?
Facilier is less focused on thoughts of what happens after he dies and more on how he can prevent himself from dying. Being a fairy, as long as belief is sustained in him, he can carry on living, and this is why he has attached himself to this tale of The Shadow Man, to give himself something beyond merely existing. After all, all the best stories are always passed on and told again and again. So in a sense, yes he does want to be remembered, but it’s less a post-death thing and more of a way to cheat death.
In terms of thinking of his actual death, he tends to think of it as a goalpost to avoid, and tries not to actively dwell on the notion.

“Well, well if it isn’ the girl who sought protection, back again...” From his perch amongst the branches of the tree, Facilier stood, arms twisting among the branches as he moved with almost spider-like agility until he could twist himself back to the ground. He arrived in a flourish of movement, arms spread wide in a display of greeting before he folded them in and tipped himself to lean casually against the tree he had just climbed from.
“And what brings you seeking the shadows, it’s a long way to go without intention...”
☮- How much your muse worries about appearance?
HEADCANON SUNDAYS & for @dearestmina who asked the same question
Appearance is important to the captain in more ways than one. For one thing, his outfit is part of his image, and is carefully constructed to create a certain presence that he definitely wants to exude. The fabrics are chosen to show his wealth and success at piracy, the style and silhouette to give him an imposing figure, the complicated fastenings deliberate to subtly show that the loss of his hand is no impairment to him.
Appearance in a wider sense is also incredibly important to him because he knows he cannot show weakness. Long bouts of weakness makes for short terms as captains. This is why he killed the surgeon who helped him after Pan cut his hand off, because that man had seen him near death from blood loss and agony. That is also why he cannot bring himself to immediately seek out Long John Silver, who helped him train to his full strength again with his right hand and saw the frustration, the weakness and the concern that he might not make it.
🍊 : does my muse desire romance? is it something they would actively seek out, or prefer to happen more ‘ naturally? ’ what is their love life like? do they have any exes or past flings, or crushes?
do she does not, she would rather have it happen naturally. i am guessing melody has past flings but nothing serious.
🍉 : which of the four seasons suits my muse best, and why?
winter, because its cold and people rarely travel in the conditions of snow and ice making everyone a little more of a homebody. but that’s adam all of the time. he takes comfort in the company of his fire and a book.
📔 about anything
truly, i wonder how the world is without me; my friends, my society... i wonder how long it took for them all to move on as if i had simply moved towns rather than died at his hand. though perhaps they don’t know i am dead, they really think lord barkis and i have gone to another town, off to live life with each other’s love. it’s tragic now that he is the only one living of our couple. it is a shame it had to end that way, but in the most vain thought it is a shame that my wedding dress has come to such a sorry state. this was once pure white, silk and lace detailing, but now it’s torn and stained; a horrid mockery of that pure connection of two souls.
