I was a comet, Recklessly spirralling past planets and solar systems, Until you saw my luster at a far, And mistook me for a shooting start, You made a wish, Then, your celestial body drew me in.
I plummeted to your rocky earth and rolled into your vast ocean of a soul. Your gravity held me to you Until your molten lava melted my icy core, And your barreling winds blew away the dust of the planets I’d hit before.
Then I was one with you And the only evidence that we were ever two is the crater that lovers travel to view, As they melt into each others eyes, And fall in love with each others minds, Like only planets and shooting stars do.
