Yesterday I got the idea that a lot of what Revolutionary Demonology lays out is a very particular application of the magical philosophy of Austin Osman Spare, particularly an extension of the logic of the death posture. "Extreme" philosophical pessimism and ontological despair, down to its very emphasis on entropy and disintegration, serve to bring one to imagine not merely the total loss of hope but its abject absence in the universe, which in Spare's system would mean a relaxation of the ego that allows the Will take over and get active. It helps that I have seen Spare cited directly by at least Valerio Mattioli in his section of Revolutionary Demonology.
