I FINALLY GOT ALL THE SAINT MORTIS CLAN DESIGNS DONE WOOO I DO NOT HAVE THEM BLEEDING (lol) INTO THE NEW YEAR.
Anyways! I took! Seventeen billion liberties with them as you can see lol! I think they legally count as OCs now but hey, we shall move onwards anyways!
the Saint Mortis Clan, led by Dark Cain and Lilith of Darkness, are a group of undead/supernatural creatures, who have been operating in the shadows for decades if not centuries. Having been exiled from society and their stories turned into warning tales and horror inspiration, they seek to assert themselves back into the modern world by any means necessary, even if that means subjugating humanity. Not everyone in the clan agreed with this however, least of all Cain's brother Abel, who defected alongside his then newborn daughter and one of the most powerful sorceresses in the clan once Cain's actions caused the death of Abel's human lover, his daughter's mother. Having operated in Europe primarily, they found themselves in Japan, after a prophecy that "the jewels of the sky" would either grant them their wish or be their downfall. Uninterested in the specifics, they summon their Homunculi (monsters made of mud, clay and blood, who attempt to replace someone's life to take part of their life energy) to do their bidding, which then makes them clash with the Senshi. Their plans are then further hijacked when not only Abel and his clan (now naming himself Count Dracul and his clan the Saint Fog Clan) start their own plans, but they then later ally with the Senshi against them.
That's the basic setup! The rest will come when I draw Saint Fog. Now to each individual character!
Dark Cain, one of the founding members! Cain is a vampire, requiring both blood and life energy to survive, and so most of the attacks result in him getting his fill. His spoken goal is to ensure the undead are the true rulers of the planet, but his true goal is to simply harness all the power in the world to make everyone his servants. He has a Shooting Star Seed, giving him the power of Separation (in alchemical terms, letting him divide several things into two distinct elements). He allied himself with Lilith of Darkness shortly after Abel defected, with the plans of using her immense powers to bring about his wish and then betray her.
Lilith of Darkness is a mysterious figure - clearly nonhuman, but also not undead. She appeared before Cain offering her powers as "the will of the world", claiming to have the same goals as him. As co-leader, she is in charge of the creation of the Homunculi, as well as pinpointing which person will offer the most energy to their cause. Of course, her true goal is different - once Cain is filled with the stolen energy, she plans to eat his Star Seed, gain his powers, and bring on the end of all life on the planet under the guise of "cleansing it" of its inpurities.
Lamia and Berser! Our first composite characters. Lamia (taking after Death Lamia and both Elizabeth Bathory and De Brinvillers) is the Witch of Saint Mortis, granting the Homunculi different powers and abilities as well as being the one in charge of transforming the excess collected energy into potions to power herself and the others up if needed. Berser (taking after Undead Berserk, Giles de Rais and Mandrake) meanwhile is the Sculptor of Saint Mortis, giving shape and purpose to the Homunculi so their dormant form is a perfect copy of their target, as well as designing their true form to fully take advantage of the effects of Lamia's potions. They're both therians, people who were affected by the powers of the world and turned into anthropomorphic beings - Lamia being a cobra, Berser a wolf. They're both in charge of the Paracelsus Quartet, considering them their younger siblings.
Finally, the Paracelsus Quartet! Based off the Samael Quartet (which was just the Amazoness Quartet) and adding my own stuff, they are 4 advanced Homunculi who are in charge of deploying and commanding the lesser Homunculi in their missions. All of them have been granted the power of a classic element, marked by the alchemical symbol in their foreheads. They are, in order: Fero (The Fire, strong and overzealous), Hidrargo (The Water, conceited and clever), Stano (The Wind, quiet and calculating) and Kupro (The Earth, flirty and manipulative). They were formed as preteens, around the ages of 11 and 14. Fero and Stano use she/her, Hidrargo and Kupro he/him. As Homunculi, their telltale detail is their blood-red pupils.
