Another late night entry, here’s to day 5 of @sera-myu-week, the men of myu....
Ryuuji Kasahara!! Athletic, the actor brought us some a+ acrobatics in a variety of villains - and also humor and charm. Ryuuji was kinda the go-to man to play myu monsters and would stand out among bad guys! Most of his characters were myu creations, whether as evil minions in familiar arcs or big villains in musical-only stories, but he also played some known parts in Sailor Moon canon!
Ryuuji performed alongside 3 Bandai Moons (he was not in Fumina’s shows). Sadly, his debut musical, Anza’s second, was never recorded, so we can’t watch his Kunzite at play. I’m particularly fond of his Tiger’s Eye, though!! Such a fun villain ^^
Surprisingly, a recording of Ryuuji’s voice as Chaos was played during Le Mouvement Final, from the revival musicals!!! That makes him the only old myu cast member to make a cameo AND the only male actor in the new shows, even if just as an old recording... Quite impressive, I would say! A blast from the past :)
ALSO he was one of the guests in Anza’s myu reunion concert, which makes me happy ^^
