23, MAC AND DENNIS. WRITE PLS

23 -- we’re the only ones on campus who didn’t go home for christmas" au

ily for sending me this, but i can only vaguely kinda' write Dennis, and Mac is even shakier so I apologize if this is a wreck. also let's just pretend that The Gang all managed to get into college, that's all part of the fun of the AU, imagining a world where Charlie lied his way into a formal education via a video interview where he sang a song about killing rats. 

"I'm not taking the bus," Dennis had said to his sister, "So you tell mom and dad that they can either send a car to pick me up, which is what I deserve, or they wont be seeing me this Christmas."  That's what he said, but what he'd meant was: I don't even want to fucking bother with whatever ridiculous fake-out dad has planned for this year.  And Dee had probably understood, but she also got on the bus, which was perfectly fine, whatever, it wasn't like he gave a shit about what his gawky bird of a sister did with her life.  If she didn't have standards then that was her business.  Dennis Reynolds had standards.  And he would not be taking the bus home.  

Two days later it's Christmas Eve, he hasn't heard from anyone in his family, and they certainly haven't sent a car to pick him up.  Fine.  Whatever.  The campus is practically deserted aside from a few surly employees who seem to think they have better things to do with their time than serve him food.  Which is how he ends up rooting through the absolutely disgusting dorm room that Mac and Charlie share, because he knows Charlie hoards tasty cakes, and he's hungry damnit.  

"Uh, bro, what're you doing?"  Fuck, shit, fuck, Dennis is so startled by the unexpected intrusion that he knocks his head against the open cupboard door.  "Mac?  What the hell are you doing here?""I live here, dude, what are you doing?"  "I was-- They shut down the cafeteria half an hour earlier than usual so I came by to get some food." "Oh," Mac scratches the uneven beard covering his cheek, "I think Charlie's got some Twinkies stashed under his mattress.""Ew."  Dennis grimaces."Oh! And we've got some instant ramen under the sink."  Mac's face lights up at having supplied another solution to Dennis' problem."I guess that'll work..."  Dennis shrugs and slouches onto the couch while Mac pulls a pot out of the sink, scratches a dried chunk of something off the side and fills it with water.  

"Looks like it's just you and me, huh?"  Mac says sitting himself down on the arm of the couch while he waits for the water to boil."Yep," Dennis replies, clicking the on the tv and settling in to the place where he can already see himself spending most of the Christmas break.

Bodyswap -- Dennis and Charlie swap bodies and Dennis is absolutely horrified by the state of Charlie's being.  Completely horrified.  Meanwhile Charlie is equally horrified which makes Dennis mad.  So he follows Charlie around nagging him and telling him things like "don't you dare eat that, mY BODY IS A TEMPLE AND I WILL NOT HAVE YOU DESECRATING IT!!"  

Pretending to be married -- With Mac.  They're trying to scam someone and it leads to a lot of awkward flirting on Mac's part and a lot of Dennis toying with him before they eventually end up making out in front of the person they're trying to scam.  The person leaves and they keep making out.

College AU -- Dee and Dennis are in a sorority and a fraternity, respectively, they come up with a plan that will allow them both to slip into positions of power in their respective groups.  This involves them working together. They end up killing someone.  Business as usual. 

Telepathy -- I feel like this would have to involve the McPoyles and their creepy inbreeding taking the shape of telepathy.  Some sort of horror film ensues.
