Death you may think you have won but I promise you that’s far from the truth. Holy Sonnets: Death, be not proud BY JOHN DONNE Death, be not proud, though some have called thee Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so; For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me. From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be, Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow, And soonest our best men with thee do go, Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery. Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men, And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell, And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then? One short sleep past, we wake eternally And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die. #deathbenotproud #RealLove #nathirealness🦄 #blacklove #workinprogress #contentcreator (at Cape Town, Western Cape) https://www.instagram.com/p/CK0j8hKDCsB/?igshid=o8db0xvh5qx4

The Good book says women are weaker vessels even so it is true, and over the years yes it has been proven that women are emotional beings. However I am just moved by the fact that these creatures are capable of handling one of the most painful pains a man cannot even begin to imagine. Single mother is capable of raising .e.g 7 kids on her own. Each and every day without fail these young ones wouldn't sleep on an empty stomach. Over and above they still able to remain meek and humble and women that they really are. I know there are men out there whom are well capable of doing the same but I'm sure there's just a handful of them. Women on the other hand can still be loving and caring and all sorts of things they expected to be at home, just to keep the family together. They are so forgiving no matter how many times you've hurt her, she'll take you back and love you and just be with you. She can be earning a huge amount of money and still be submissive, respectful and warmhearted you name it. Before my Mommy left the dimension we are on she told me plainly that I have not found a woman as in the one I had convinced myself that she was to be my companion. In fact truth be told "there is no such thing as companionship anymore but that's a topic for another day all together," anyway; right at that moment I knew exactly what she implied, I grew up see the kind of a woman I talk about here today. Moreover truth be told she was one of the most selfless amazing human being I've ever come across. Loved by all, hated by a handful, and still she was this awesome creature ever. SUCH WOMEN ARE TO BE APPRECIATED, CELEBRATED, RESPECTED AND LOVE. .. #DeathBeNotProud I love you Mommy I will always do... I could go on and on but for the purpose of those whom are still able to appreciate reading, I'll leave it hear for today.
A grown man of seventy with sons aplenty took a stroll in in his garden coronary arteries hardened
the last thing he knew his heart rhythms askew was the smell of his roses not his near-fatal diagnosis
just a week later while still hooked to the ventilator his family made a choice to stand for his voice no more, no more, he had cried parts of his brain were now fried there, but not there most certainly not aware so at his (their) behest we gave him his rest free from dependence so that he could regain a semblance of his dignity, his grace for his family to embrace a life stuck in between.
An empty shell.
Thank you, the Sim family, for being a labour of love, for giving me a chance to pray with Mr Sim, to have the courage to declare Christ’s love upon Him, even though medicine told me he was gone. You have challenged my patience and my Christian integrity and I have grown, albeit sometimes begrdugingly.
I don’t know how much of you is left, when your eyes don’t open and your lips don’t stutter, but I hope you have retained just enough to know how much your sons and wife love you. And how much Jesus loves you too.
Also, said family left me a box of chocolates with the nurses, but it appears they have been otherwise conveniently appropriated by ravenous parties.

You will forever be in my heart #RIP lil brother #DeathBeNotProud
Word: Proud (11/15) I immediately thought of John Gunther's memoir (Death Be Not Proud) of his son (Johnny) for today's word prompt. In 1947, seventeen year old Johnny died from a brain tumor. Hardly anything was known about tumors at the time, and much less ones that were in the brain. Still, Johnny excelled at learning and proved to be quite a poet. A poem of his titled "Unbeliever's Prayer" closes the book. The title of the book is taken from one of John Dunne's holy sonnets. I was tagged by @heathreads to do the #perfectpoetry tag. She has a wonderful bookstagram account that you should check out. And I've tagged a few people! Enjoy! #poetry #justonewordbookphotochallenge #proud #deathbenotproud #johngunther #johndunne #sonnet
