my opinion on;

character in general: So I’ve always liked Elektra despite knowing like nothing about her because I have a thing for sais. Like that’s her main weapon of choice and I just love her for that. I’m also like half way through DD on Netflix and she’s just wonderful. She’s got that perfect mix of “I’m totally sweet honey” meets “I will murder you right in the face” and I love that. how they play them: lbr here. This is Jesse, aka the most badass woman to ever have female muses and reads/watches everything she can get her hands on to make sure she has the character and then continues to build on said character and makes everyone she meets fall in love with said character. Elektra is no different. Every aspect of Elektra is woven beautifully into all of her replies and I learn more about Elektra just by reading her posts than I could ever learn, honestly probably even from the comics. the mun: I’ve said it before I’ll say it again, and I’ll say it a million times in the future. She’s like my tumblr hero. I follow her everywhere and I’m just so grateful she even gives me the time of day. I aspire to be like her on this site tbh because she’s so passionate and driven and writes so beautifully and she some how has this ability to express her opinions gracefully. I’m just really lucky to have her on my dash.

If you were to pick one song — and only one song — to describe your character, what would it be and why?

I’m cheating and putting two. First, A Warm Place by Nine Inch Nails. There aren’t any lyrics, it’s strictly an instrumental piece, but it starts with an amelodic buzzing, almost like flies that sound like they have a key, then comes the fast strumming of slightly distorted guitars, then strings in a minor key, and the way it progresses is beautiful, but slightly off-putting, like a cold quiet night in the desert with a sound in the distance that you can’t tell if it’s threatening or not, but the ambient noise has begun to lull you into a state where you’d rather just fall into a light sleep and wake if needed.

The second song is another instrumental piece by Nine Inch Nails called Just Like You Imagined. It starts out again amelodic, then comes the lone piano with a quiet guitar underbeat, increasing in volume, then breaking into a bassline with almost industrial sound effects, and then, after a few bars, distorted horns with a distorted guitar over it, a cacophonous mix that well represents the hell his life can be, and what he’s lived through. Even the jazz-like piano in it is so rapid and nearly disjointed while following a definite chord structure it’s perfect for him.

Does your character dream or are their nights filled with an empty blackness? Describe a dream they’ve had or a night they couldn’t sleep and what they did to preoccupy their time.

Unfortunately for Max, when he does sleep, it’s almost always interrupted by nightmares. The man’s seen more than his share of horrors, from his wife and child’s bodies laying in the road after their murder by a marauding biker gang, to bodies strapped to the fronts of cars like trophies, to people being forced to kill one another for the most basic of supplies, the the horrors of the Buzzards and Immortan Joe. They’re things that won’t ever leave him, and don’t just confine themselves to his nightmares, but come to visit him in the day. 

When he dreams of these things, he wakes from his sleep, flailing and punching, and if it’s the middle of the night, there’s any number of things he might do to occupy his time, from cleaning the weapons he has, to working on his car, to simply staring up at the night sky and trying to remember the constellations he once knew. Anything to keep his mind off of the terrors he’s had to endure.

I honestly see MCU Steve as asexual or demisexual. I mostly ship him with Sharon or Peggy but I just really always headcanoned him as being more ace than anything else. I mean not to shit on anyone else’s ships for him, but the idea of an ace or demi MCU Steve Rogers has always fascinated me and has been an idea I just can’t seem to shake. Not that I want to.

I like Marvel. I love the new continuity. I don’t think they’ve done any wrong so far. More characters are getting exposure and that’s fantastic. The Vision is the most interest he’s ever been now. Peter Parker realized his full potential. PoCs occupy three leading character identities that are recognizable even to the most casual of fans (Spider-Man, Captain America, Hulk). Civil War II is shaping up to be an event with a more complex conflict, more surprises in allegiances, and it’s apparently gonna have huge effects. Mockingbird has a solo! I understand that X-Men fans have gripes but as someone who has found it impossible to get into x-books, it really doesn’t bother me any. The X-Men aren’t going anywhere. If their books don’t sell, they don’t sell. As long as people but their books, they’ll exist. Cancelling that line would be like Marvel saying “Hey, we hate money.”
