SOME ART

I made some art for Anubis! I had this piece of wood laying around and I thought ayy let's paint on it and I just sat down to sketch and Anubis came forth.

I was going to paint this but I wanted to experiment. So, this is water based ink lineart with alcohol maker colors. The sky, and other gold accents incl. the sides are all gold reflective paint like on my idol.

It is Anubis in modern clothing, with pyramids and dunes in the back and further back a city skyline (none in particular just sky scrappers) I picked warm colors throughout the piece. I'm sad I couldn't have made Anubis darker.

Putting together a shopping list for my altar to Anubis.

Incense: Frankin, Myrrh, Sandalwood, Cloves (more for Wepwawet), Opium, Egyptian Musk, Amber

Container: shoe box, tin, easily enclosed box

Art, Poems, or Prayers, Black Candles

Sweets, semisweet/dark chocolate (his favorite), red candies.

Alcohol: Rum (idk when I'll get prolly won't)

Organics: gold, small animal bones (ayo caine's treats what up), bread or crackers, water

Some notes:

Cleaning up offerings can be thrown out when old or eaten soon after offering

Can eat with/share meals

Dedicate time to be with

Crystals can be good too but I already have a crystal necklace dedicated to him that I plan on leaving there when not in use

Black pyramids are something I associate with him and my necklace so that's something I'll be drawing

I associate my dog: Caine, with Wepwawet and Anubis so maybe something related to him might be a nice offering

I want the altar to look modern and cute to match my room and not like something dusty and old, no offense to the god

Explained in my earlier post I had to return to my daily rituals and welcome back Anubis into my atmosphere.

I greeted him, spoke for a moment, then lit incense. A mix of sandalwood and juniper. I felt calmer and a bit more together than I have lately- then I sat down at my PC and started hanging out with friends.

At some point this puff of smoke from the incense rolled pass me and Anubis was the first thought in my mind. To the point it was almost the next word out of my mouth. There was no fans going or anything open in my home to where it could happen and I've never seen it happen.

Something I'm Working On:

Because I've noticed a lot of sites are either heavy in text or heavy in one aspect and not another I felt like I should try and make a sort of bucket of ALL the information I can find on one site! So, that's what I'm working on!

I plan on it having information on prayer, aspects, offerings, crystals, art, history and differing legends, all kinds of stuff!

I want to express I'm not an expert and sources will be linked if it's not something I've found out myself from meditation and it'll certainly be disclosed if I've used the offerings and crystals I mention and all sorts of information.

The focus will be on the Netjeru I work with so Set, Wepwawet, Anubis, and Anput.

It's going to be a while till I release it but once it's done I think it'll be a good source for everyone who finds it to see more sources and to kinda get a condensed version of everything.

Sunday Morning

Nov 8th, 2020

Just a little journal entry for today. I won't be doing these daily, just as I feel needed.

This morning when I woke up, I got dressed, and greeted Anubis at my altar- I do this every morning. I simple walk over to my altar and light incense (waiting to get candles) and say "good morning" to Anubis. Well, a bit after I decided I wanted to lay back down and so I closed my altar (the box lid) just in case my mum comes into my room and I was suddenly hit with this overwhelming feeling that I had disappointed Anubis and that he wanted to smell the incense so I reopened my altar and I felt a lot better.

I haven't shared the beginnings of my altar yet but I will soon. Atm the altar is just a box with my own drawings of the death dogs within. Will share pics soon.

Altar Creation Pt 1: Crystals

I've purchased several rough Hematite and Tiger's Eye stones. Hematite is the stone my black pyramid necklace is and it's the main stone for Anubis.

The plan is to just scatter them around my altar box.

Speaking of altar boxes; I found the perfect box for it the outside is decorated kinda silly but it does vibe with the outside room aesthetic and the inside so back and white.

After Thoughts ->

I'm really happy about my boyfriend's support with this. I think deep down he thinks this is silly or maybe he doesn't I dunno know but I told him I want him to take one of the stones with him when he visits me (so Anubis can guide and protect him as well) and he said he'd love to. He also encouraged me purchasing the stones and thought they looked nice. He bought me my necklace forever ago as well c:
