For some reason I'm still a little stuck on Elsewhere but here is a different take on it for the second wallpaper. I was planning on going to the Deathless tour St. Louis date but unfortunately, I got stuck in class and work.

part of me really wishes i could show the band 🙌 ⬙
its crazy to think, now its there. like. forever… (in the sickest way possible)
do u ever get engaged at the set it off concert
Here's that sappier post I mentioned.
Before last night, the last time I had seen Set It Off was five years ago. To me, it feels like a lifetime. I was a very different person then. Yes, some of it is obvious: I had braces, I hadn't dyed my hair yet, I was still in high school, and I am almost certain that I was still writing on Wattpad.
However, I was wildly unhappy when that show happened. That concert was a happy moment, but that wasn't consistent. It was the worst period of my mental health I had experienced up to that point. Now, five years later, I feel like a dramatically different person. I have grown so much more than I ever thought that I could. Yes, I have lost some people along the way, but what I got in return was far more important.
When I look at the girl from 2019, I see a girl desperately trying to blend in and take up as little space as possible. When I look at me now, I see a girl who has accepted that she will always take up space and is accepting that she deserves to take up space.
And through all of that was Set It Off. They were always there, constantly dropping songs that fit so perfectly into the events of my life that they may as well have been reading my mind. I have always been strongly opposed to claiming a band saved my life. However, I have no problem saying that this band helped me through the worst moments I've had in the last decade.
So, this is a thank you post more than anything else. Thank you to Set It Off for creating a space that is safe and supportive. A place where I could become who I was supposed to be. I cannot wait to see what's going to happen next.
your mans got to experience his first real concert yesterday (apr 6th)!!!
I saw Set It Off and holy shit were they amazing. Caskets, DeathbyRomy, and Crown the Empire headlined and they were amazing too. But Set It Off man...
Firstly, I got VIP tickets, so I got a chance to see them at a meet and greet, and they were so sweet. Cody was on vocal rest and couldn't speak, so Maxx did most of it and he was so kind! Even though Cody couldn't speak, he still did his best to make us feel welcomed. We also met Romy who is such a legend. Holy fuck is she beautiful and perfect and kind and everything I wish I could be lolol. The photos I have w her are only good cause she's in em, I failed to even look at the camera properly and most of them my eyes look fucking closed which sucks lol. I never look good in photos anyways so-
I also just want to share my appreciation to the fans there. Every single person we met/talked to was so kind and respectful. We made concert buddies in the line to the meet n greet and they stuck with us the whole night. We managed to be pretty darn close to the front of the stage, and got swooped up in the moshpit a couple times. The first 2 times we didn't want to be a part of it, and a guy saw it and immediately used himself as a shield to protect us. The 3rd time we felt comfortable to join, so I got to experience the moshing of a concert for the first time too lmao.
I'm gunna look through my camera roll for footage and see if I have anything that I could post to share but I highly doubt any of it will look good cus I have an old as shit phone lmao.
Amyways, I'm so happy they played my favorite songs too. They opened with Parasite, which is the biggest song I wanted to hear live.(the power of screaming the lyrics "I curse the fucken nurse for letting you fall out your mom!" In concert was immaculate) and they played my favorite SIO song, Lonely Dance. Mwah, gorgeous. They ended with Punching Bag, which I feel was a great song to end on, especially with the speech Cody gave about how the song is for all the people pleasers in the crowd who are tired of being stepped on and used. My anxiety ridden, people pleaser self needed that motivational speech and song honestly.
High respect to the boys too man. They spoke about how they were dropped by their label and so many other people and how they felt like it was the world telling them to give up but they chose to go independent, and from this, they ended up with 3 of their new songs getting radio air! For the first time in their career they made it all the way up to the top 40s in mainstream rock radio like holy shit. It makes the meanings of some of their recent songs hit so much harder. Killer in The Mirror, Fake Ass Friends, etc. Damn.
A memorable experience and that I pray I will experience again one day.
