Near is the smartest child at Wammy's house, an orphanage for the gifted. For as long as he can remember he has been in a one sided rivalry with Mello but in truth he isn't interested in it. Instead he would much rather do puzzles or play with his toys. He likes to keep himself isolated but is intrigued greatly by the Kira case. He goes to Japan in hope of maybe solving it while gaining some real world experience as a student in a normal school.
An unfortunate accident in an alchemy experiment has turned the lives of our favourite Fullmetal Alchemist: brotherhood characters upside down forever. Waking up in a strange new world, they have to come to terms with their past and a mysterious threat looming over their new home...
Can the Alchemists help in the fight against Shinigami and Kira or will they just get in the way? Will the Homunculi make Light's attempts at global domination easier or does L have something up his sleeve that will be total game changer?
