Near (Nathan Rivers) | 13 | Human Detective | Open

FC: Ulrik Munther

Near is the smartest child at Wammy's house, an orphanage for the gifted. For as long as he can remember he has been in a one sided rivalry with Mello but in truth he isn't interested in it. Instead he would much rather do puzzles or play with his toys. He likes to keep himself isolated but is intrigued greatly by the Kira case. He goes to Japan in hope of maybe solving it while gaining some real world experience as a student in a normal school.

Matt (Mail Jeevas) | 16|  Human Detective | Open

Matt is an expert in electronics, specifically software. He is a huge fan of gaming and ladies but not really much else. He is laid back which is a good thing considering his best friend and room mate is a little...high strung. Matt's favourite part of going to Japan was posing as a regular high school student. He is relishing in the opportunity to hone his fairly non-existent social skills as well as the opportunity to make friends and have fun in the real world.

Mello (Mihael Keehl) | 16 | Human Detective | Open

FC: Jamie Campbell Bower

To put it lightly, Mello is a huge fan of the detective L. Anyone who knows him knows that L is his hero, his idol. Having a hero when your an orphan can really help you get through the tough and lonely times in the same way that having a goal does. When Kira came on the scene he, along with his friend Matt, head off to Tokyo with the intention of helping L catch the killer. Posing as high school students alongside May Chang and Sayu Yagami by day, they search for the elusive detective as well as the serial killer. The odds are stacked against them but Mello doesn't doubt for  second that they'll find either of them. Mello's going to find whoever's been murdering the world's inmates through sheer will power...

More than the excitement he enjoyed the fact that there was an impressively cut throat serial murderer making headlines world wide. He admired his power and wanted it for own but was annoyed that this Kira would kill without showing his face. He found it to be quite cowardly and cowardly men don't deserve to kill...

Pinako Rockbell | 87 | Human Mechanic | Open

When Pinako Rockbell woke up one morning with no memories, she assumed she was simply senile and went about her business. Quickly she realized that she had no money and needed an income. The men at the nearest mechanics shop also quickly realized that Pinako wasn't a woman to be trifled with. She knew her stuff better than most of them and had an amazing work ethic. Needless to say they hired her and she's been working there ever since.

Misa has had a rough life so far. She lost her parents to a murderer and unfortunately they didn't seem to have enough evidence to convict them. This caused her great sadness but she always put on a brave face for the cameras. She wanted to be someone people drew strength from and she couldn't be that person if she was in tears. She felt herself slipping into despair until Kira killed the murderer of her parents. In her eyes they were finally brought to justice, all she wanted to do was thank this Kira person, whoever they were. When she received her death note from Rem though, it ocurred to her that maybe she could do more than just thank him....

When he was just a high school senior Light found, by chance, a note book with an extraordinary power. This note book was, in fact, a death note and with it he had the power to take any life...that is if he knew their full name and face. He decided that he would use this new found power to rid the world of evil but has he instead gone mad and power hungry? If he is mad, should such a power be in his hands? Light certainly thinks so and he will use his sharp intelligence and his charisma to achieve what he wants, no matter what the cost might be.
