UGH UNFORTUNATELY A LOT OF REASONS :/

it had good word of mouth and ticket sales kinda okay for a show that had just opened but

bad reviews and poor grossing were what got it in the end. the critics took hard shots at the book and said it was “too sexy” of a show which ???? what the fuck ???? some took shots at the lyrics and score too but it wasn’t criticized as much as everything else. the only thing they liked were the actors performances and the score 

the critics kind of have it out for frank wildhorn too they don’t take well to any of his shows tbh
