B - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mindClashshipping-

HEAR. ME. OUT.… No I really have nothing to say. X’D I really didn’t like Yami when getting into the fandom and I didn’t understand why people liked him as much as they did. Progressing with the action and series, I started to find him more appealing as a fascinating character than shipping material in all honesty.

Then I found a certain fanfiction… and things plummeted downhill.G - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in italready answered ;)N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)1) A widely spread amount of RPers. When I started, there weren’t a lot of Mariku’s around [or at least I didn’t know a lot] which was a main drive for getting a Mariku blog up, additionally to the fact I really just love RPing him.I mean, I see a lot of Ryou’s and Bakura’s around. Sometimes I am pretty sure those alone make up half the fandom. Now I know, those two are hotties and they are interesting characters and certainly deserve the diving into.But we are kinda forgetting other interesting characters here, right?Where are all the Rishids for every Marik blog? Where are the Ishizus? How many Gozaburo Kaibas do we have. Where are all the cool Mai impressions?!Heck, how many Zork accounts are running on tumblr?! There is this frequently used bandwidth of characters in our fandom, and yes, it is in most fandoms… but I really would enjoy if a lot of characters were less overlooked.I was practically screaming with joy, when psychicarmorhead followed me. It was absolutely gorgeous when kingofinsxcts came around. I am still happy to see blackedges floating about on here!! I am so ultimately happy about the fact ceo-of-nothing-in-particular and redeyespride exist! noa-kaiba I don’t know if I do even have to put you down here, because that is practically self-explanatory.I love a load of Ryous and Bakuras myself, but we really need more characters that get just the same diving into.

3) A shipping system that is easier understandable than an icosahedronic rubik’s cube.Inuyasha can do it. Lotr can do it, hell even Harry Potter gets this down perfectly fine. Who implanted the need in the Yugioh fandom we need a shipping list that is longer than the Wall of China?If this goes on, I’ll need to ask somebody to write an encyclopedia about our fandom shippings soon, so I can keep a track on them. >_>

1.) What’s an important lesson your muse has learned over the past few years and how has that changed the way they live?That staying patient and subtle influence of a mind get him farther than any harsh, hard breaking, since firstly, the people become useless and secondly he gets to his goals faster, since there is little to never open hate in the way... take out he wants it to be or they interested already in the past.

7.) What does your muse get out of relationships (be it friends, family or a significant other)? Do they find it energising or exhausting to keep up with?If he has to FEIGN the relationship it exhausts him quickly. If he feels there are feelings of romantic love blossoming in a partner, he cuts the relationship off and will often get rid of the person, because the feeling appalls him.What he gets out of it are influential advantages and every now and then a real friendship (he does certainly not see as such) where he is able to feel somewhat social around.

9.) What does your muse think of time/aging? Does getting older scare them? (Alternatively, for immortal muses: How does their immortality effect their relationships with mortals?)He has no idea if he will just vanish after some time, but since he doesn’t age, he views himself differently and better than the mortals around him. He will mostly comment on how their lives are so short and additionally, how they tend to be unable to understand the ways of the world around them, because they are far too subjective and rushing along. He is pretty derisive and views most of them as tools to use for whatever goal he wants to reach.12.)Is the way your muse sees themselves similar to how others see them or is it (very) different, due to mental illness/keeping secrets/etc.?In contrary to his other half he doesn’t hate himself and he doesn’t necessarily see any great flaws about him, even though he understands that he is insane. He will also not pity himself for all that has happened, but concerning himself he values justice, which is why he becomes extremely angry, when people react towards him unjustly or simply meets them with contempt to belittle them.

He likes to hear himself talk, since he values his own existence.What he hates about himself is that he is a weak thing [yes, despite the powers he possesses he sees himself as very weak], because there is no consistency in his power and life but only dependency. The corruption of Zork inside of him is the thing that poles him worse, whenever people make fun of it, or hint towards it or whenever he hears that something happened he cannot remember, he vanishes for a bit, just to severely ruin something and destroy whatever he finds along the way.

♥ - What does ‘love’ mean to them? 

He practically hates it. One part of him is simply thinking it is pathetic, so he handles it with contempt. On the other hand he is kind of curious and jealous, because he has never felt it himself.

♣ - What is one thing that they find embarrassing? (About them, others, things in general)

Children. Whatever children are doing is embarrassing to him. He just views them as innocent and ‘stupid’, that’s why he really doesn’t like them at all.(And that’s why he gets riled up when anybody tells him that he is practically 6 years old xD)

☼ - Something that/Someone who makes them happy.

1) What position does your character sleep in? ( i.e; stomach, side, back, etc. ) Describe why they do this — optional.

He honestly doesn’t sleep at all. And the closest he comes to sleeping is when he is recharging in the realm... he is kind of delirious there mostly... it’s more like he’s rolled into a ball, waiting until he can leave again.

4) Do they have any verbal tics? Do they have trouble pronouncing certain words or getting their thoughts across clearly?

He was a pretty good articulation and no ticks so far, take out the fact that when he gets very angry, his voice tends to topple around sometimes.

7) How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral?

Positive. He thinks he is in the right and always. And when he talks he loves to listen to himself. He is practically obsessed with himself to be honest. A small part of himself also hates himself a tad... but it gets ignored mostly, because inwardly he is just as good as Maalik smothering over things he really doesn’t want to see.

22) Does your character trust people right off the bat or does it take them some time to warm up to someone?

Let’s say it like this:You are lucky, if he ever trusts you. He is not as paranoid as the spirit of the ring... but he has vast paranoid tendencies.

How do you think they first met? What were their opinions on each other then? Did they get along? Do they ever think back to this day?

Well they “met” during Battle City, really as Marik and Bakura had their talk about going against the Pharaoh united... or in my head, Mariku firstly saw him there. In case of MY Mariku, Ryou may meet him later on. In case of the original character, they would maybe have met in that small time and space window, when Ryou was captured in the Shadow Realm.I think Mariku was really charmed by Ryou from the start, like seeing him in such a rough state may have awoken his actual instincts of needing to protect somebody or he may have just really enjoyed the sight, while Ryou most likely was somewhere between “what the fuck is happening” and “oh my god I am interested in this person, because they are really weird, i cant explain why they behave like that”They may think back to that day eventually... I think they would go along carefully and then eventually really be able to give each other what they need.

Who throws their body over the other during sleep? What does the other think of it?

I think Ryou may be the one to fall asleep on top of him in the evening and if he rolled down, Mariku would just eventually - due to seeking warmth - curl around or over him, relatively possessively. I think they would both enjoy this a lot.

How does one feel when others flirt with the them? Does the other react to this? if so what does the other notice?

Mariku.. is flirting extremely obviously, funnily I think, that Ryou may not exactly get that at first still. Like... that is a kind of charm this pairing has for me, that Ryou is blissfully unaware of what is really going on, until Mariku is getting REALLY explicit. And then he is just kind of surprised and maybe even reluctant, but he would relatively quickly accept it.Once they are flirting later on, I think Ryou would get into it after a while just as well, because even though he tends to be a little quite and introverted at times, I think he can be very well outgoing with people he trusts.

“Hmmm… a sweet face and that nice tinge of innocence. It’s very charming hear well thought out compliments, too.”He smirked lightly. “Normally though... I get drawn in by the mindset..”

((I think it is very charming to see people, who have a good grip on their style, I usually admire those people a lot, especially when they have this cute nerd style, additionally, smiling. A lot of people have such sweet smile… and voices… snuggling and good humor [dark humor too] are things I really enjoy also xD))
