SIGHT THROUGH SKIN-VEIL

Sensorium magic is a very uncommon flavor of environmental manipulation, often evolved particularly around the electromagnetic rock formations of Reaakkouun deserts. It's a form of hyperactive and chaotically-ubercharged empathy, capable of reading the emotional state and intent of those around oneself to an almost overwhelming degree, by means of detecting even minoot changes to bodily functions and physical/health status. Those skilled with it can even take on the experiences of others for themselves to further their understanding of another, making them valuable social service workers; if the burnout doesn't kill them, first.

Those with Sensorium are often extremely divisive in social circles, either shunned from paranoia or ostracization from peers due to their nature, or received warmly from a Sensor taking advantage of their ability to approach every social situation, already knowing exactly where every "tell" is. While being able to accurately predict the mental state of their peers is obviously beneficial, those with Sensorium should remember to take these things in moderation, especially around big crowds of consciousness, or else the overload of information might cause lasting psychological effects.

While Jaq spent much of his child and teenhood utilizing Sensorium to his advantage in school and daily life, he has made less of a habit of it since meeting Chuck, preferring to speak his best friend on equal terms, and rarely using unwarrented Sensorium on him. Not to say it doesn't happen, but mysteriously, after the first couple of times times, he has stopped offering to "share pain" with Chuck like this... [most intriguing!]
