Red Lentil Soup, Dal Style. Part of my New Year’s resolution to make a recipe from one of my cookbooks every week. This is from Smitten Kitchen Every Day. This was delicious and very easy. I think it was better than the Ottolenghi lentil soup I made, though it had a similar flavor profile. Sadly I was frying mustard seeds for garnish, something I’ve never done before, and it said to stop when they were done popping. But they never popped and instead burned to a crisp.
