The Human Condition Series
This series illustrates the human experience, adjusting and coping with contemporary challenges, especially those that focus on the inter-relationship and inter-dependence of humanity and technology. These figures symbolize the contemporary struggle to embrace, interact and stay current with 21st century technology; a love/hate relationship that empowers, improves quality of life, extends life and enslaves simultaneously.
The art work is created with oil paint and collage on stretched canvas and mylar that is adhered to wood panels. Images of computer components, chips and brains are juxtaposed into the painted human form.
