The week of Thanksgiving has arrived! Some #beautymail from @glossybox_us just in time for this fall break! This has been a trying year for our wonderful country, my sweet, lovely Louisiana took several hard hits that seem to hit back to back! In July the ambush on police that injured two and killed three, (my husband knew one of the officers personally from school & previously worked as a deputy sheriff with him). Then August, the flooding that effected as many as 188,729 homes and 507,495 people. That's 11% of the state's population! And 13 people lost their lives. There's still SO many without homes, automobiles, jobs, clothes, food, etc... It was/is awful, maddening, sad, heartbreaking...Everyone could stick their heads in the sand, get mad and go crazy! But not my sweet, lovely Louisiana! We're proud, we're gonna stand strong, even if there's a tear still fresh on our cheek, we'll come back stronger than ever. • So this Thanksgiving please know I am thankful you are here! Wherever you are, however you spend the day, enjoy your family, friends, pets, all your loved ones and let them know just how thankful you are that they are to you. Things change quickly, life passes fast, second chances don't happen often, see lots of places, hold the ugly words you wants to say back and just smile! And say I love you WAY too much!
