Doing adult things like putting fans together, paying $1500 worth of bills / debt, cleaning, and deciding to take a staycation vs work more to pay off debt quicker.
I’ve never *really* been in debt before. I had an excellent scholarship in college and got a few grants so my student loans were actually not bad. Everything else I’ve ever bought (including, to a degree, my house) I saved up enough money that I could just outright buy it, or at least put it on a credit card and pay it off by the time my bill rolled around. I’ve NEVER not paid off a credit card immediately until Sir Duncan the Asshole.
Sometimes I feel like I was unprepared to buy a house but really, if Duncan hadn’t gotten sick (or hadn’t gotten as sick as he did), I would currently be debt-free.
The plus side is that I’ve been putting so much stuff on my credit card that they increased my limit again, so now I can put EVEN MORE STUFF on it. Also the good news is Care Credit and Sears are both interest-free to 6 and 12 months, respectively, so I have some time.
