@debutchi You mean the Kadabra controversy with Uri Geller, the psychic?
For those who don’t know, the association with Kadabra/Alakazam and spoons is a reference to Uri Geller, a magician/illusionist/psychic who made famous the concept of bending spoons with psychic power. Over 20 years ago he tried to sue Nintendo over using his likeness for something that to him seemed like a monster without his permission or knowledge, and it put Kadabra out of print in the TCG.
But last year Geller dropped his threats, apologized for the misunderstanding, and Kadabra made its first public appearance again in the anime since the original series as part of Sabrina’s team! (I can’t find a screenshot but it’s really cute too) I hope we get to see some new Kadabra cards soon!
