Lea Salonga...Your Songs (Dec. 11, 2009)
As we got off the car, I immediately go inside the lobby. Many people were waiting, the restrooms are almost full (for the girls of course) and the line going to the Plenery Hall were long so we got in line. We saw people holding programs and ladies in black going in and out carrying those programs...I asked my mom to buy me one of those, it was worth P100 each. When we got ours, the line's starts to move and the staff begins to let us in...so we walked down, I saw Mrs. Ligaya talking to one of the staff or ushers(i think), I wanted to take a picture with her, but the line of the people are getting longer. We got into the second lobby...got up the stairs, got a pic with the angel statues and off to the Gallery. We waited one hour before the concert starts.
The concert starts with a flag ceremony then Lea appears at the back of the moving screen in a black half-sleeved blouse with diamonds at th left side of her chest and a slocks. She first sang Halo by Beyonce, then after she welcomes us and started singing Air Supply songs and Journey songs also. It came to a point that one dancer handed her a black jacket with diamond studs and spells "LS" on the left side of it...then she started to dance to the song "Rehab" man! She's good at dancing...together with her are the girls of Phil. All Stars... the group danced and wowed the audience. After that, Lea came out in a red tux, black blouse with jewelry (i think) and black slocks. She sang Pinoy rock songs...then came out Jett Pangan singing "Salamat" with her. She said it was her big surprise to her audience. After that, She sang "Poker Face" at first it was an elegant style of singing...but after a while it became pop! She was great! Then, she sang "Gone Too Soon" as a tribute to Michael Jackson. Richard Poon came out and sang Tagalog songs like "Sana Maulit Muli" & others. She gave him a break to sing solo, he sang "I Can't Take My Eyes Off of You". At last, Lea came out in a pink gown..she's even more prettier with a low-up do, she sang Broadway medley as she walks down the stairs....after that along came Ai ai. She came out in Annie dress (but the skirt is bubbled) with a floating pet that was being sold at SMs and Divi!! She's singing "Tomorrow" and they started their tandem together. It was so hilarious..even Lea laughed out loud after Ai ai got in the backstage!! She finished the concert with the last songs starting with "Thank You for The Music" with Gerard playing on the piano..then went on to the backstage. Then,"Bayan Ko" which she said was the no. 1 most requested and lastly but not the least..."If Only", her matured version was even better and greater than before..
