Forrest Gump is easily a top 5 film for me. The way Tom Hanks portrays the character is done so well. This is one of my favorite scenes where Forrest and Jenny are parting ways after a magical night together in Washington DC. Before they have to go he gives her the Medal of Honor that he earned by listening to her advice to run when danger comes. She asks him 'Why are you so good to me?' His retort is 'You're my girl!'. I love the delivery of this line. He says it so empathically and enthusiastically. Like that's the most rhetorical question ever and that the answer should be obvious. That she is the one and only girl that he thinks about. Some people love the film because it is quite the interesting life that he leads and I enjoy that part very much. But I really enjoy the romantic portions of the film very much. You're my girl!
