had a nightmare some time ago where i was married and decided to invite my dad over
everything went nice but then at the end of the visit he suddenly flipped out on me and was was all like 'you think you're better than me!?' which made me just freeze in silent, angry shock
I just finished you weren't meant to be human by andrew joseph white and I really enjoyed it (feels strange to say I enjoyed something this horrific but)

Super quick read I gave it 4 stars. I don't really understand Stagger but I think the relationship between him and crane was really sweet.
As for Levi the way I see it he's a representation of the cycle of violence. He says:
"See? Levi says "they did it to me. I took it fine."
Levi's been violated (you might even make an argument he's also been impregnated by the hive??) as well but the difference between him and crane... crane won't allow that cycle to continue especially to their daughter.
The parents were also a strange out of left field addition but I do appreciate knowing that they were good loving parents so that's nice to know crane has another home he could return to.

omfg not the lady at the tobacco shop under my apartment having already memorized which tobacco i want and always immediately grabbing it when i come in and being so niceys to me ... she also kept a packet extra for me one time when they didnt have it in stock when i first came there. and she said that theyre going to get another delivery later and i was like OK, i'll come back another time then :) and then when i did 2 days later she pulled it up from under the counter and said that she'd kept it there extra for meeee when i come back
