*Okabe took a deep breath, and expunged the weight and heat emanating from within. It had been a year since he’s been to the Steins;Gate world line. Who would he encounter this time? What did the Okabe from that world line do in that time? Did he finally get his PhD? He fiddled with his multiversal transportation device, the Voidwave (name subject to change), and then activated it. Closing his eyes, he felt an intense shock-wave ripple through his body followed by an intense feeling of vertigo as he arrived in the world line. The world was forming around him like a mosaic, coming together piece by piece before forming a coherent picture: Akihabara. He leaned against a wall, sweat dripping from his brow as he regained his footing. No matter how many times he’s traveled, how many times reading steiner activated, he never got used to the feeling. When he regained his footing and balance, he looked around to find himself in front of a familiar shop, the Mayqueen+Nyan^2. Looking down, he saw that he was still wearing his white lab coat, but he also sported on his black sweater and suit combo that he would wear all the time back in the beta attractor field. Well, Mayuri always did say he looked good in black. Ruffling through his pockets, he found an ID tag:*
