anywayyy some rough backstory! my ocs are originally from my dnd campaign and they are part of an organization that helps monitor and help keep a decent relationship between animals, nature, and people. one of the main characters (daigo) is related to the person who started the organization (his sister Elise) and everyone else is a relatively high "rank" in the org but daigo is second in command since hes elise's brother
some basic info about people:
daigo - human ranger, met khee, decarbia, and yvan at school + jessie and imogen. he was drafted into the rose guard by his girlfriend but defected and was killed as punishment and went to the afterworld briefly, but khee saved his life. follows the goddess odessa but is not particularly devoted
khee - elf paladin, met everyone at school. son of a rich gemstone miner who decided not to join the family business and instead went into medicine. still absolutely loaded though. saved daigo's life but now has to follow requests from the goddess odessa to keep daigo alive (usually by killing someone who the goddess decrees deserves to die). is odessa's most devoted follower. can't hear out of his left ear. extremely claustrophobic.
decarbia - tabaxi monk. met everyone at school. yvan's sister. after khee she is one of odessa's most devoted followers and is his student of the religion. they spend a lot of time together studying. she is excellent at unarmed combat but mostly would prefer to do yoga
yvan - tabaxi artificer. met everyone at school. decarbia's brother. if they were human they would probably be called twins but since tabaxi have litters theyre just siblings. likes to keep to himself but is an excellent craftsman. partially responsible for messing up khee's hearing. argues a lot with daigo so they are usually kept separate or supervised (secretly has a huge crush on him)
jessie - daigo's ex?? they all used to know her but she is no longer with the party and is presumed dead. its a sore subject
imogen - daigo's ex, who recruited him into the rose guard without him knowing. her father owns the national academy and she sent the forces after daigo when he defected
elise - human druid. daigo's sister. made their order and is generally looked up to by everyone. she left home when daigo went to school and the group made their way to her base after daigo was hurt. she has recently gone missing and basically only daigo knows. does not get along with khee at all
